Ina nin Kabikolan - Full Version

Ina nin Kabikolan - Full Version Video Clips. Duration : 5.43 Mins.

words, music, arrangement and orchestral scoring by: joseph brazal reburiano Flute: Raymond Sarreal (2004 NAMCYA Winner) Soloist: Donnel Ramirez with the Ateneo de Naga University Choir The competition is about HYMN-writing. I managed to search for its definition - I have searched on what is written, and I have also searched on what is not - something which a listener-musician can not put words on... something which we can feel in our hearts upon singing other hymns (patriotic and liturgical) which we cannot feel on love songs, which we cannot feel on ballads, rock, jazz, pop concerts, production numbers, etc. - something which we can only feel on HYMNS. In this composition, the tempo is a metaphor of the boatmen's motion, paddling the waters during the "sakay" or the fluvial procession. The music is set into having three forms of progression: form A, form B, and form C. (Music majors, you know this) and Form A starts on a Relative Minor. some set of imagery aim to capture the character of the song: The vision of the approaching pagoda, with the colorful riverboats around it... the devotees along the riverbanks - women and children, chanting and waving their white handkerchiefs... the prayers... the lighted candles... - I only witnessed this sight once, that was the first and only, together with the scene of the dramatic struggles of the "Traslacion" upon weaving the lyrics into a song, I went back to that experience... I was in tears beholding the image in front of me ...
